In Year One of my novel, I touched on the topics of Numerology and Astrology, two ancient sciences that can reveal what your True Purpose is (what you came here to BE), your innate talents (the gifts you were born with) and the path you must take towards fulfilling your destiny.
Charles studies Numerology as a hobby, while Suzanne is interested in Astrology, but due to her religious beliefs she hasn’t delved into it as deeply as she would like. He works out her Life Path Number (which is compatible with his), and she is happy to discover that his Star Sign is also compatible with hers. It’s their mutual interest in both sciences that gets them off to a good start – plus their strong chemistry!
Later on in the (revised) story, they agree to name their unborn child based upon the baby’s date and time of birth. With this, they will be able to use these two sciences to reveal the baby’s Life Path, and give him a name that will help him fulfil his destiny. 👶🏾💫
This week I will cover the topic of Numerology, and next week I will cover the topic of Astrology.
The numbers in your Date of Birth, and the name you were given at birth can reveal a great deal about your character, your purpose in life, what motivates you, your hidden talents, challenges and opportunities you will encounter, and the major lessons you’re here to learn.
Your Birth Name
Your Birth Name also has a numerical value to it; Numerology always uses the name you were given at birth, even if like me, you change your name by Deed Poll. 🙈 Each letter of your full name is represented by a number. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the total value derived from the letters in your name make an inter-related set of vibrations, which becomes your spiritual make-up. Here are the numerical values of each letter:
(My birth name is Carol, which I recently found out is the feminine version of the name Charles – and that was not planned! 😅)
Your Life Path Number
The first thing Numerology reveals is your Life Path Number, which is revealed by adding up all the numbers in your Date of Birth, then reducing them to a single digit – the only exception to this rule is if you end up with 11, 22 or 33, as these are considered ‘Master Numbers’. The Life Path Numbers go from 1-9, then 11, 22 and 33.
For instance, if you were born on 26th May 1979 your Life Path Number would be 3:
2 + 6 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 9 = 39 (3 + 9 = 12 / 1 + 2 = 3)
If you were born on 13th September 1969 your Life Path Number would be 11:
1 + 3 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 9 = 38 (3 + 8 = 11)

7 = The Intuitive/Trust/Introspective
8 = The Power Player/Recognition/Material success
9 = The Humanitarian/Integrity/Wisdom
11 = The Healer/Peacemaker/Artist
22 = The Master Builder/Visionary/Manifestor
33 = Master Teacher/Compassion/Balanced
