What’s in a Name?

Yesterday I popped out to the shop and met a woman who was heavily pregnant. I asked when she was due and she replied “any day now”. I asked if she had any names in mind for her baby; she said yes, but they ‘wanted to see her face first’. This gave me the opportunity to explain the importance of the name she would give her daughter.

Naming your child is one of the most important things you can do for them!

In ancient traditions, the date and time a child was born were taken into consideration before it was given a name. Their life path was revealed using the ancient sciences of Astrology and Numerology, which showed a clear road map to their ‘destiny’. With this knowledge, the child would then be given a name that would help them on their journey in life, and make it easier for them to fulfil their purpose.

Traditional Africans still hold elaborate Naming Ceremonies in which the child receives the names passed down to them ancestrally. They know that the name given to a child at birth will carry them spiritually for the rest of their life.

During the enslavement of my ancestors, the first thing that was taken away from them was their name, which cut them off from their ancestral roots. They were given their enslavers names, which had, and still has today, a devastating effect on their self-esteem and ID-entity.

I changed my name by Deed Poll 3 years ago, but Numerology will always use the name given at birth to work out a report. This is why I can’t stress enough, the importance of finding out what your child came here for before naming your baby.

As a human race, we have lost our way. The ancient ‘ologies’ of Astrology, Numerology, Cardology and Individualogy have been replaced with Theology and Technology!
