The Twin Soul Phenomenon – Download Year Seven FREE this weekend!

What’s the difference between Soul Mates and Twin Souls? (also called Twin Flames) Imagine a huge quilted blanket of energy and your soul is one of those patches. The other souls that come from the same blanket as you are Soulmates and can be friends, family and lovers.  A Twin Flame however is when one of those single patches, or a single soul gets bigger and bigger to the point where it needs to split into two different energies.

Essentially, the higher purpose of Soulmate relationships is to help each other raise your own consciousness, whereas Twin Flame relationships have the effect of raising the consciousness of the whole planet.

Everyone has Soulmates but not everyone has a Twin Flame.

If you believe in re-incarnation (that our spirit is eternal, and we keep coming back in different bodies lifetime after lifetime through a process of evolution), then the concept of meeting your Twin Soul isn’t so hard to grasp:

‘When you reach a certain level of consciousness or a higher level of frequency in one life, your soul has to split into two in order to come back down into a physical body.

This means that there are essentially two of you roaming the earth. Both of you are in a way, half the energy that you originally were.  The other half of your energy is your Twin Flame, and when the two of you cross paths or meet it is like you instantly feel whole again. This energetic split does not happen to everyone.  It only happens to those who have reached a certain frequency or level of consciousness (in a previous life).

In each “twin” there is a magnet that sort of attracts the two of you together (like attracts like), and you can meet at any time, at any stage of your life journey.’

If you’ve read Year One of ‘Journey of a Sister‘, you would have read how I met my Twin Soul  (The Caribbean Expo).  Before publishing the book I emailed Year One to him, and he called early the following morning to give his account of our first meeting.  I scribbled it down quickly as he was speaking.; by this time, it had been 10 years since we first met, and I was only just discovering that he’d had a similar insperience to me! (it was internal, not external).  He told me to throw his version of our first meeting in the story randomly somewhere (you’ll find it in Year Five ‘Flashback’).

‘When twins get together, it is for some kind of spiritual service work. This is their primary reason for finding each other, because through their union a huge birthing of creative energy is released, to be used for their mission together. More and more twins are attempting to get together now to help the planet and humanity make a big shift forward in consciousness.’

Maintaining a relationship with my Twin Soul was the hardest thing to do.  Each attempt at reunion was unsuccessful because neither of us were ready for the intensity of a twin flame union. We both had unresolved issues, and he appeared to be stuck in the third dimension, whereas I was evolving quickly.

We never had a proper ‘boyfriend/girlfriend’ relationship, yet my relationship with my twin soul was my most profound relationship ever.   If it wasn’t for my ‘encounters’ with him, this book would never have been written!

Would you want to meet your Twin Flame?

The chance of meeting and staying with your twin (if you have one) depends on how evolved your soul is, and how much baggage from this and past lives you have cleared. The biggest reason twins have to separate after coming together is their individual emotional baggage. Because in the presence of your twin, there can be nothing between you, nothing blocking your closeness. This means that everything comes up for healing that you haven’t previously healed. Everything!’

The ending of the First Edition of this book (entitled ‘Single, Spiritual…AND Sexual!’) was symbolic of the ending of our 11-year on-off encounters.  ‘Journey of a Sister’ includes two new chapters (the Sequel).

While I would have loved to have had the type of relationship with my Twin Soul that Suzanne had with Charles, in reality, we were on two different wavelengths mentally.  But each encounter with him helped me to evolve, and it was through my pain that I began writing this book (I wrote all the sex scenes first!)

To my Twin Soul, in the words of Erykah Badu, “see you next lifetime!”

Extract from Year Seven:

As they lay entwined in bed, they talked about the events that had led to their break-up.  Charles explained how he had felt shut out, like she didn’t need him anymore. Suzanne explained to him that there were going to be times when she needed to spend time on her own, in order to do what she did.

“Relationships have their seasons,” she explained, “Mother Nature has shown us this; just as there is Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring, relationships go through their seasons too; it can’t always be Summer.  There are also the cold winter months, when it seems as if everything has died, but in Spring, everything starts to blossom, and before you know it, it’s Summer again!  The problem is, most people give up during their winter period, thinking the relationship has died.  That’s what you did, Charles.  If you had just hung on, you would have seen it start to blossom again.”

Charles thought about what she had just said;

“You’re right.  I must remember that next time we go through our ‘winter season’.”
